- The resistor is an important tool in the diagnosis of airbag and belt tensioner assemblies.
- contact resistor allows simulation of a working airbag.
- Thus, the airbag can be ruled out as the source of the error during diagnosis.
- connect directly to the plug coming out of the vehicle, not to the airbag.
- if the battery has been disconnected 30 minutes earlier, the polarity of the contacts is irrelevant.
- after installing the resistor, connect the battery, turn on the ignition and correct the error if necessary.
- if the warning light goes out, the fault is in the airbag module itself.
